Tangle is a blockchain that implements two core protocols developed by Webb:
The first one is Distributed Key Generation (DKG) and a threshold ECDSA signature protocol within a quorum-based voting system. This governance system facilitates threshold signature generation for arbitrary data proposals in the form of a set of palettes, interacting, functioning, and supporting the life cycle and improvement of the DKG protocol.
The second protocol executes our zero-knowledge bridges, or as we call them, the Anchor System in Substrate. We use the term 'Anchor' to describe individual endpoints on the bridge.
Together, these two protocols enable the creation of applications using bridges not only between Substrate chains but also between EVM and CosmWasm chains.
